The impromptu farewell breakfast held in Marica's honor quickly turns the balcony into a tense battlefield when Áron realizes he's not ready to let her go.
"Fugue" was written and shot during the COVID lockdown, capturing the quiet tensions of a failing relationship behind closed doors. Set against the backdrop of emigration and emotional stagnation, the film reflects the desire for personal reinvention abroad while subtly critiquing the social and political climate of Hungary.
